Gender actions
The European Comission promotes gender equality in the scientific resarch. Under the 6th Framework Programme (FP6), all projects are required to incorporate a Gender Action Plan (GAP), which meets two goals: to promote gender equality by encouraging women's partipation and to integrate gender dimension in the reseach content. The 7th Framework Projgramme (FP7) gives continuity to these two goals.
During the ACCESS project, the coordinator in cooperation with leaders from each partner institution is responsible to oversee promotion of gender equality in the project.
A Gender Actions Plan deliverables were included in the programme of work. The first deliverable (D7.01) will outline the plans and ideas the project will undertake throughout its course and a final report (D7.16) will summarize these activities and their impact.
A questionnaire was created to collect informations about the gender equality management in each partner organization in order to assess this aspect in ACCESS.
