WP1 workshop on fieldwork activities

This ACCESS Workshop will be held in Villefranche sur Mer, France. It aims at informing all the partners about fieldwork scheduled within ACCESS and cooperations with external projects; logistic needs and opportunity will be discussed and data flow between partners, assimilation and archiving will be considered.
Organizing committee: Peter Wadhams, Martin Doble, Jeremy Wilkinson, Rudiger Gerdes and Jean-Claude Gascard
The meeting will be organized into the following sessions:
Day 1:
- Day 1 Morning: Overview of fieldwork activities from each Partner. These activities will be broken down in three different areas. These are (1) sea ice, (2) oceans, (3) atmosphere. Cooperation between ACCESS field work activities and external projects will also be presented and considered.
- Day 1 Afternoon: Discussion on logistic needs and opportunities in order for each partner to fulfil their DoW deliverables. Discussion will centre on (a) What are our logistic needs both temporally and spatially (b) what opportunities are available and who is the main contact (c) How does the logistic opportunities fit with the DoW deliverables.
Day 2:
- Day 2: Continuation of Logistics Day 1 afternoon session including cooperation with stakeholders.
- Day 2: Morning/ Afternoon: Data flow between partners, assimilation and archiving
- Day 2: Afternoon: Outreach activities and wrap-up summary of the workshop. The final output needs to be the clear marrying of partners with deployment opportunities so that we know exactly what is being deployed and when the data will be available.
Meeting to run for two full days November 24th and 25th. It is therefore advisable for each attendee to arrive on the 23rd and leave on the 26th
