ACA Scoping Workshop
ARCTIC CHANGE ASSESMENT SCOPING WORKSHOP.
Oslo, Norway, September 28-30, 2011.
The main task for an ‘Integrated and Regionalized Arctic Change Assessment (ACA)’ would be to clarify the significant consequences of some of the main drivers of change on Arctic ecosystems and peoples. The key concept for the work will be ‘integration and regionalization’ in order to develop options for actions, especially adaptation.
The objective for a scoping workshop is to develop the Terms of Reference (ToR) for an Arctic Council-led project to determine the consequences of and actions needed to address potential cumulative effects on Arctic ecosystems, societies and peoples of climate change and other significant drivers of change.
